Lighting Products Our lighting products use either castings from third party manufacturers or hand crafted parts made to match the prototype. We use the smallest possible LEDs on the market to light them and the finest wires to connect them. Each light comes with a suitable resistor, heat shrink tubing, and complete hook up instructions to allow you to connect to a DCC decoder (we even tell you what SoundTraxx CV to use). These can be used on locomotives, MOW equipment, or service vehicles. |

| FL-Y | Fink Light |
This is a handcrafted CN S series switcher Beacon. The lens has been
cored then a small LED (0402 size) is placed inside so that you can install a lighted
Beacon on your diesel locomotive. Used by CN to enable yard tower personel to spot active switchers within the yard it would activate as soon as the engine was started. Crews disliked the beacon as it prevented them from sitting in the cab to keep warm as the beacon would fink them out. Some crew members took to carrying 32 oz juice cans to cover the light before starting the engine. |
